PARIS, April 1, 2008 (AFP) - France have recalled the in-form Paul-Henri Mathieu for the Davis Cup quarter-final against the United States at Winston-Salem from April 11-13.

Mathieu replaces the veteran Arnaud Clement who was named as first replacement for the tie after having been selected for the first round win over Romania.

Favourites for the two singles slots will be the national No.1 Richard Gasquet and Australian Open runner-up Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.

Double specialist Mikhail Llodra makes up the quartet.
