BRATISLAVA, July 9, 2008 (AFP) - A Slovak man suspected of the rape and murder of a woman in Scotland will be extradited from his home country for questioning in Britain, a Slovak regional prosecutor ruled on Wednesday.
'The extradition date is to be agreed between national Interpol offices, they now have 10 days to transport him to Scotland,' Milin Filicko, spokesman for the prosecutor's office in Slovakia's second city, Kosice, told AFP.
Slovak police detained the suspect on an international arrest warrant three weeks ago in the east of the country.
The 32-year-old Slovak, who lived for a prolonged period in Scotland, is suspected of the rape and murder of a 40-year-old woman in a park in Glasgow, on the west coast of Scotland, at the end of May.
