LONDON, July 12, 2008 (AFP) - A 35-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman have been bailed by officers investigating the brutal murder of two French students, London's Metropolitan Police said Saturday.
Gabriel Ferez and Laurent Bonomo, both 23, were found stabbed to death in Bonomo's burnt-out flat in New Cross in south-east London on June 29. They were attending an exchange programme at London's Imperial College.
The two people arrested, who were not named in line with police procedure, have been bailed to return pending further inquiries on dates in July and August. Another man, aged 23, remains in custody.
Another man, Nigel Farmer, 33, appeared in court Thursday charged with the murders as well as arson and attempting to pervert the course of justice.
He was remanded in custody until October 16, when he will appear at England's main criminal court, known as The Old Bailey.
