PARIS, July 15, 2008 (AFP) - Australia's Chris Guccione was handed a ticket to the Beijing Olympics tennis tournament on Tuesday when Austria's Stefan Koubek pulled out with an injury.

The 23-year-old Guccione, a left-hander from Melbourne who is ranked 79, will be only the second Australian man in the main draw alongside former world number one Lleyton Hewitt.

Meanwhile, Italy's Mara Santangelo has replaced compatriot Karin Knapp in the women's singles.

The International Tennis Federation (ITF), which oversees the Olympic tournament, announced the changes to the draw but did not specify the nature of the injuries.
