LYON, July 31, 2008 (AFP) - AS Monaco striker Frederic Piquionne has signed a four-year deal worth 4.5 million euros with French first division champions Lyon, according to the buying club on Thursday.

The 29-year-old spent three seasons at rivals Saint Etienne before moving to Monaco in 2006.

The signing could signal the departure of Czech Republic forward Milan Baros.

Bernard Lacombe, a club advisor, indicated the ex-Liverpool and Aston Villa star will be moved on at the first opportunity.
