LONDON, August 4, 2008 (AFP) - Centre Kris Welham has extended his contract with Super League side Hull KR until the end of the 2009 season, coach Justin Morgan said Monday.
The 21-year-old has become an integral part of Morgan's side following a mid-season injury to Chev Walker and has been rewarded for his recent form, which saw him score one of the tries in Friday's win over the Catalans Dragons.
'Kris is a player with huge amounts of talent and natural skill,' Morgan said. 'He will develop into a great footballer in time. He has improved considerably over the past few months and is really benefiting from his time with the more senior players of the squad.'
