MOSCOW, August 4, 2008 (AFP) - Russian writer and dissident Alexander Solzhenitsyn will be buried on Wednesday at the Donskoye cemetery in Moscow, a spokesman for the Russian Orthodox Church was quoted as saying.

'This place of rest was chosen by Alexander Isayevich himself while he was alive' and officially authorised by Patriarch Alexy II, said Nikolai Balashov, a priest from the church's department for external relations.
