PARIS, August 6, 2008 (AFP) - Iran has not given the hoped-for response to the six major powers trying to persuade it to freeze its nuclear programme, the French foreign ministry said on Wednesday.
'The purely procedural document that we have seen does not provide the response that was hoped-for to the meeting of July 19 in Geneva,' foreign ministry spokesman Romain Nadal said, referring to an Iranian letter received by the negotiating powers on Tuesday.
