OECD says indicator points to weakening growth in top economies

PARIS, August 8, 2008 (AFP) - A leading indicator for advanced economies points to weakening growth in the seven biggest economies in the world, the OECD said on Friday.

The Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development said its advanced indicator continued to point to a weakening outlook for growth in the seven biggest economies.

The advanced indicator for emerging economies seemd to point to a stronger outlook for China and Brazil but an easing for India and Russia, the OECD said.
