French FM leaves on mediation mission to Tbilisi, Moscow

PARIS, August 10, 2008 (AFP) - French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner, whose country holds the European Union presidency, left Sunday on a mission to mediate in the conflict between Tbilisi and Moscow, French diplomats said.

Kouchner will spend Sunday night in Tbilisi along with his Finnish counterpart Alexander Stubb, who represents the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe, leaving for Moscow on Monday, according to his ministry.
