HULL, August 14, 2008 (AFP) - Hull manager Phil Brown agreed a new three-year contract with the Premier League club on Thursday.
Brown expects to sign the new deal before the club's first Premier League fixture against Fulham at the KC Stadium on Saturday.
The Tigers chief still had another two years to run on his current deal but, after holding talks with chairman Paul Duffen, he has been given an improved deal to remain as City boss until 2011.
'I am very close to signing a new deal and it's in the hands of my solicitors at the moment,' Brown told the Hull Daily Mail. 'Fingers crossed, before Saturday's game I'll sign a new contract.'
