Motorcyling: Rossi wins Czech Grand Prix as Stoner crashes out

BRNO, August 17, 2008 (AFP) - Italian rider Valentino Rossi, on a Yamaha, won the Czech Republic Grand Prix here on Sunday, after defending world champion Casey Stoner crashed out of the MotoGP race.

Rossi, who heads the championship standings, lead the race unchallenged after Stoner spun off in the sixth lap.

Spaniard Toni Elias of Ducati finished second with Loris Capirossi of Suzuki crossing in third.
