LONDON, August 19, 2008 (AFP) - Catalans Dragons prop forward David Ferriol on Tuesday signed a new two-year contract with the Perpignan club.

The 29-year-old French Test forward has made a big impression in Super League since joining from Limoux two years ago.

'I'm delighted to extend my contract with the club to be a part of this adventure for the two next seasons,' he said.

Catalans football manager Sebastien Munoz said: 'David has become an important player in the squad. He's a great French player.'
