PARIS, August 19, 2008 (AFP) - Europe's online music-driven social networking site MusicMakesFriends.com has struck a deal with Warner Music International enabling users to access the Warner catalogue on the site's streaming platform, the two partners said Tuesday.

The site already enables users to stream and share for free music from the catalogues of the world's other three music majors -- Universal Music, Sony BMG Music Entertainment and EMI -- as well as music from 9,000 indie labels.

Bruno Chauvat, head of MusicMakesFriends, said this made the platform the biggest in nine European nations -- Austria, Britain, France, Germany, Ireland, Luxembourg, Spain and Switzerland.

The site offers both tracks and pictures for free while premium members have unlimited access to more than two million tracks for a monthly fee of 8.99 euros (13.19 dollars).
