MADRID, August 20, 2008 (AFP) - At least 20 people were killed and dozens injured when a Spanish airliner crashed at Madrid's airport on Wednesday, Spanish media said.
The newspaper El Pais quoted interior ministry sources as saying 25 people were killed and 57 injured in the crash of the Spanair flight to Las Palmas in the Canary Islands.
Private radio Cadena Ser put the death toll at 20 people with 20 injured.
El Mundo newspaper said the death toll could exceed 100.
