ROME, September 10, 2008 (AFP) - Catania fans have been barred from travelling to Milan for Sunday's match at champions Inter Milan, the Italian interior ministry ruled on Wednesday.

Away fans have already been banned from Fiorentina's trip to Napoli as well as two matches in the lower leagues: Virtus Latina v Sora and Foggia v Cavese.

The move comes in response to the crowd violence orchestrated by Napoli fans during their trip to AS Roma on the opening day of the Serie A season last month.
