SEOUL, Oct 2, 2008 (AFP) - Military talks between North and South Korea ended Thursday without progress, the South's Yonhap news agency reported.

South Korea's defence ministry said the talks in the truce village of Panmunjom, the first official bilateral contacts since President Lee Myung-Bak took office in Seoul in February, ended shortly after noon (0300 GMT).

Details about the talks were not given immediately.
