LONDON, Oct 8, 2008 (AFP) - Scotland have named six Australia-based players in their 24-man World Cup squad, including Canberra forward Scott Logan, their only survivor from the last tournament eight years ago.

Also in the Scots squad is winger Michael Robertson, who scored a hat-trick of tries in Manly's 40-0 Grand-Final win over Melbourne on Sunday but failed to make the Australian squad.

'We are strengthened by the inclusion of some established NRL performers who were keen to play from the outset but who also recognised our policy of rewarding those who played in qualifying,' said Scots coach Steve McCormack.

'I am very happy with the make-up of the squad as we have a great degree of versatility in there which will be needed with at least three games in relatively quick succession.'

The squad includes the three Henderson brothers, who were born in Torquay, England but qualify through their Glasgow-born father, and Paddy Coupar, who plays in Scotland's domestic league for Edinburgh Eagles.

The Scots will be captained by Wakefield scrum-half Danny Brough.
