Thousands of members from the pro-Kremlin youth organisation Nashi demonstrated outside the US embassy in Moscow on Sunday in a protest at US foreign policy.
Some carried pumpkins in a reference to Halloween which they left on the pavement outside the embassy. Others dressed in orange, referring to the pro-Western revolution in Ukraine in 2004.
`The Americans have a habit of dictating the rules on the international scene. The most striking examples are the Georgian and Ukrainian revolutions and the Iraq war,` said 19-year-old Ivan Lipatov.
`We want to stop America`s arbitrary (nature)...we want to prove to them that...they cannot control our conscience,` said 20-year-old Olga Nikiforova.
There was a strong police presence at the rally, who blocked the street in front of the embassy.
