French rugby giants Perpignan`s Romanian hooker Marius Tincu received a four month suspension on Tuesday from all rugby for violent play during their October 18 Cup match with Welsh side Neath-Swansea Ospreys.

Perpignan reacted furiously to the decision taken here against the 30-year-old and said they would appeal it.

Tincu was found guilty of poking his fingers into the eyes of prop Paul James during the 15-9 victory to the Welsh operation - the victim received a one week ban which has already been served.
