Liverpool striker Robbie Keane will miss the Republic of Ireland`s friendly against Poland at Croke Park on Wednesday with a shoulder injury.

Keane met up with Giovanni Trapattoni`s squad on Sunday ahead of the game at Croke Park on Wednesday but was forced to return to Merseyside for treatment on the problem.

The former Tottenham star started Liverpool`s 2-0 win at Bolton on Saturday and was substituted early in the second half.
