Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan is to embark on a five-day official visit to India Thursday, his office said.
Erdogan will meet his counterpart Manmohan Singh, President Pratibha Patil and other senior officials in New Delhi in an effort to `secure concrete results from the momentum and openings` achieved in bilateral ties recently, a statement said.
Accompanied bu his ministers of industry and energy, Erdogan will also visit the city of Agra and India`s high-tech hub, Bangalore, where he will hold meetings with local businessmen, it said.
A traditional ally of Pakistan, Turkey has in recent years sought closer ties with India as well.
