Peru is staging one of its biggest summits in memory and has come up with a keepsake -- a giant stocking cap.
Around a dozen people with disabilities weaved what is billed as the world`s biggest chullo, the wool cap from the Andes that has turned into a global youth fashion symbol.
The chullo, 6.5 meters (21 feet) high and 3.5 meters (11 and a half feet) wide, was put on display at the National Museum to mark the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum, which will bring 21 leaders to Lima this weekend.
The cap is made of multicolored braids of wool that stretch for 2.5 meters (eight feet) each, said lawmaker Michael Urtecho, who himself rides a wheelchair.
