The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has warned members of the church against collecting keyholder gifts in filling stations.

The pastor made this known through pastors at different parishes of the church saying the keyholders contain a tracking device which unscrupulous people use to monitor the movement of their victims before attacking them.

The keyholders, were allegedly developed by Ghanaians and Nigerians, and are given out to unsuspecting customers at petrol stations as free end-of-year gifts. Most of the customers, not attaching any meaning to it, receive them with thanks.

Many people have been reportedly robbed of their possessions and houses burgled because of the tracking device. Collaborating the story, Mr Chris Anthony, a taxi driver in Lagos, said he was also alerted by a friend on the issue.

There are usually many reported incidents of criminal activities in the country during the ember months as Christmas period approaches.
