MUMBAI, Oct 11, 2008 (AFP) - Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan is to spend two to three days in hospital, his son said Saturday, after the icon sparked widespread concern for his health when he was taken ill on his birthday.

Abhishek Bachchan told reporters camped outside the private clinic in Mumbai's northern suburbs that his 66-year-old father had suffered an intestinal blockage.

Jamaica's Rocksteady king Ellis dies at 70

LONDON, Oct 11, 2008 (AFP) - Jamaican reggae star Alton Ellis, known as the 'Godfather of Rocksteady', died overnight of cancer in London, a hospital spokeswoman said Saturday. He was 70 years old.

Ellis passed away peacefully at Hammersmith Hospital, the spokeswoman said.
