Everton manager David Moyes has told South African officials to stop moaning after the Premier League club withdrew Steven Pienaar from his country`s friendly against Cameroon.

Pienaar had been due to travel to Rustenburg for Wednesday`s match but the South African midfielder aggravated a knee injury in Sunday`s draw against Middlesbrough and Moyes told him to remain in England.

Everton tribute as six released over murder of British boy

LONDON, Aug 27, 2007 (AFP) - All six suspects arrested over the shooting death of a British schoolboy have been released, police said Monday as players from his beloved Everton Football Club paid tribute at the murder scene.

A 19-year-old man, an 18-year-old woman and a boy and a girl both aged 15 were released without charge, Merseyside Police said.

Another 19-year-old man and a boy aged 16 were released on bail pending further inquiries.

Football: Pienaar completes Everton move

LIVERPOOL, England, July 24, 2007 (AFP) - South Africa midfielder Steven Pienaar has completed his move to Everton after being granted a work permit.

The 25-year-old moves from Borussia Dortmund on a season-long loan and has already joined up with his new team-mates for their pre-season tour in America.

The Bafana Bafana star, who has also played for Dutch club Ajax, can`t wait to make an impact in the Premiership.

'It is always a good opportunity for the players to play in Europe and I am looking forward to making a return myself as I missed it last season.'
