MAGNY-COURS, France, Oct 7, 2007 (AFP) - Britain's James Toseland won the World Superbike Championship title for 2007 after the 13th and final race of the season here on Sunday.
The 27-year-old Honda rider claims the title for the second time after 2004, when he also clinched overall victory during the final race at Magny-Cours.
Toseland finished just seventh in the first of the day's two races after a fall on the first bend, but his sixth position in the second race was enough to give him the title with a two-point lead on Japan's Noriyuki Haga.

INDIANAPOLIS, July 23, 2007 (AFP) - The world`s top motorcycle drivers will be spanning the globe in September of next year when the inaugural Indianapolis Grand Prix makes its debut, Indianapolis Motor Speedway officials said on Monday.
The track, which dropped its Formula One auto race earlier this month, will instead stage a MotoGP event over a 2.601-mile road course that will be the 14th of 18 races on next year`s MotoGP calendar.
