MIAMI, Florida, Oct 16, 2007 (AFP) - The San Diego Chargers acquired wide receiver Chris Chambers from the Miami Dolphins, the National Football League club announced on Tuesday.
Chambers, 29, has 31 catches for 415 yards in six games this season for the struggling Dolphins, who received a 2008 second-round draft pick in exchange for the wide receiver.
Chambers, who was named to the Pro Bowl all-star game in 2005, has 405 catches for 5,688 yards and 43 touchdowns in 100 career games - all with the Dolphins (0-6).
ATLANTA, Georgia, Oct 15, 2007 (AFP) - Quarterback Eli Manning threw for 303 yards and Plaxico Burress snagged his NFL-leading eighth TD pass as the New York Giants rolled over the Atlanta Falcons 31-10 on Monday.
Manning came out sharp, Amani Toomer scored a touchdown to establish a club record for catches and the Giants pass rush smothered the Falcons offence.
The Giants posted their fourth straight win as Manning hit Burress six times for 97 yards and the touchdown.
New York also joined Green Bay and Chicago as the lone teams to have won 600 games.
