Football: Advantage Cotonsport in African Champions League semi-final

HARARE, Oct 5, 2008 (AFP) - Cotonsport Garoua of Cameroon put one foot in the African Champions League final after defeating Dynamos of Zimbabwe 1-0 Sunday.

Both teams adopted cautious formations and the visitors made the breakthrough on 32 minutes when Niger-born striker Kamilou Daouda scored with a fine header.

NICE, September 5, 2008 (AFP) - Cameroon striker Joseph-Desire Job has transferred from Nice to Qatari club Al Kharaitiyat, the French first division side confirmed on Friday.

Job lined out just nine times for Nice last season.

The 28-year-old previously played for French clubs Lyon, Lens and Sedan and English club Middlesbrough.

YAOUNDE, July 26, 2008 (AFP) - Angolan police side InterClube became the first qualifiers for the African Confederation Cup mini-leagues by forcing a 1-1 draw with Mount Cameroon this weekend.

InterClube qualified 3-2 on aggregate after coming from behind at Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in the Cameroonian capital to draw level 19 minutes from full-time through Costa Pedro.
