KHARTOUM, July 31, 2008 (AFP) - A new report has identified 140 aircraft as suitable to aid struggling UN peacekeeping efforts in Darfur, urging India, Ukraine and NATO countries in particular to donate helicopters without delay.

Mandate of UN Golan force renewed till year's end

UNITED NATIONS , June 27, 2008 (AFP) - The UN Security Council on Friday unanimously agreed to renew for six months the mandate of the UN force on the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.

The 15-member body passed a resolution extending the mandate of the UN Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF), which expires Monday, until December 31.
