MADRID, July 27, 2007 (AFP) - Bernd Schuster's reign at Real Madrid began with a 2-0 friendly win over English Championship side Stoke City on Friday with Raul and Roberto Soldado on target.

Former Liverpool goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek made his debut and Brazilian defender Pepe, German international defender Christoph Metzelder and former Barcelona playmaker Javier Saviola also donned Real colours for the first time.

BARCELONA, Spain, July 27, 2007 (AFP) - Thierry Henry said Friday he was delighted to have made a goalscoring start on his Barcelona debut in Thursday's 1-0 friendly win at Dundee United.

'I hope it will be the first of many goals,' said the French hitman, who netted a penalty kick rebound in the dying seconds after coming on as a second-half substitute at Tannadice for Cameroon striker Samuel Eto'o.
