Football: Muntari banned for three matches following red card

ROME, Sept 16, 2008 (AFP) - Ghana international midfielder Sulley Muntari has been suspended for three matches following his red card against Catania on Saturday, a sporting judge said on Tuesday.

The Inter Milan player was sent off for an elbow at the end of the first half that left his opponent with a small cut on his lip.

Reform aid management to fight food crisis: World Bank chief

Ghana: police protect hunchbacks agains ritual crimes

ACCRA, July 29, 2008 (AFP) - Hunchbacks in the township of Bibiani in western Ghana are receiving extra police protection after the recent murder of two of them whose humps were removed, police said.

Earlier this month, the body of a hunchback who died of natural causes and was buried in a cemetery in a nearby township was exhumed and the hump taken away, police said.
