LONDON, Sept 16, 2008 (AFP) - Ghana goalkeeper Richard Kingson has signed for English Premier League club Wigan, linking up again with former Birmingham boss Steve Bruce.

LONDON, Sept 27, 2007 (AFP) - Birmingham back-up goalkeeper Richard Kingson has been given the all-clear by doctors after a horrific collision with a post in his club's 3-0 League Cup defeat at Blackburn on Wednesday.

Ghana keeper Kingson, 29, was stretchered off unconscious and rushed to hospital just before half-time in the match at Ewood Park.

But a check-up revealed no serious damage and he was able to join his team-mates for the trip home.

BLACKBURN, England, Sept 26, 2007 (AFP) - Birmingham manager Steve Bruce admitted he was concerned for Richard Kingson's health after the Ghana goalkeeper was taken to hospital during his side's defeat at Blackburn on Wednesday.

Kingson suffered a nasty head injury when he he collided with a goal post after he contested a corner with Blackburn defender Christopher Samba in the first half of Birmingham's 3-0 loss at Ewood Park.

After five minutes of treatment Kingson was stretchered off and taken to hospital.
