LIMA, July 26, 2007 (AFP) - German giants Bayern Munich on Thursday signed a 13-year-old child who has been dubbed `the new Lionel Messi` by journalists.

Peruvian Pier Larrauri agreed a contract with Bayern after impressing on a month-long trial, said Jaime Noriega, the president of Esther Grande de Bentin, the youngster`s club.

Reporters in Peru have compared him to Argentina international Lionel Messi after putting in noteworthy performances in an attacking midfield role.

LONDON, July 24, 2007 (AFP) - Jose Mourinho believes Peru striker Claudio Pizarro will have no trouble adapting to life in the Premiership.

Pizarro, 28, trained with his new Chelsea team-mates for the first time on Monday following his free transfer from Bayern Munich and has already made a good impression on Mourinho.

Andriy Shevchenko and Michael Ballack both struggled to find their feet after high-profile moves to Stamford Bridge from outside the Premiership, but Mourinho is convinced Pizarro`s qualities are perfect for English football.
