Poland survived a frantic finale to win 3-2 in an international friendly on Wednesday as Giovanni Trapattoni`s six-game unbeaten run in charge of the Republic of Ireland ended here at Croke Park.

The Poles were comfortably ahead at 2-0 with two minutes left after goals from Mariusz Lewandowski and Gurreiro Roger.

Liverpool striker Robbie Keane will miss the Republic of Ireland`s friendly against Poland at Croke Park on Wednesday with a shoulder injury.

Keane met up with Giovanni Trapattoni`s squad on Sunday ahead of the game at Croke Park on Wednesday but was forced to return to Merseyside for treatment on the problem.
