BEIJING, Sept 3, 2007 (AFP) - Sinopec, Asia's largest oil refiner, remains China's highest-grossing company, according to an annual list of the country's top 500 firms seen on Monday.
Sinopec retained top spot for the third straight year with revenue exceeding 1.06 trillion yuan (140.5 billion dollars) last year, said the list by the China Enterprise Federation.
The company was the only one on the list, now in its sixth year, to exceed one trillion yuan in revenue.
PARIS, July 23, 2007 (AFP) - German Tommy Haas jumped up two places to ninth position in the ATP world rankings list, which is still headed by Swiss ace Roger Federer, published here on Monday.
Haas returned to the top ten after defeats to American James Blake and Tomas Berdych of the Czech Republic last week.
Blake dropped one place to tenth following his defeat in the final at Los Angeles to Czech Radek Stepanek, and Berdych dropped one slot down to 11th after failing to make it past the last sixteen in Stuttgart.
