BERLIN, July 29, 2008 (AFP) - SAP, the world's biggest business software maker, posted Tuesday a second quarter net profit that fell by nine percent but nonetheless exceeded analysts expectations.

SAP made a profit of 408 million euros (642 million dollars) in the three months from April to June, or 0.34 euros per share.

BRUSSELS, Nov 27, 2007 (AFP) - EU antitrust regulators gave the greenlight on Tuesday to German business software giant SAP's takeover of French rival Business Objects.

'The (European) Commission concluded that the transaction would not significantly impede effective competition,' it said in a statement after reviewing the deal for antitrust threats.
