Mercedes-Benz says it signs deal to sponsor ASEAN tour

SINGAPORE, March 4, 2008 (AFP) - German car maker Mercedes-Benz has become the title sponsor of the ASEAN golf tour, the company said on Tuesday.

The tour, which teed off last year with five events, will this year include 10 tournaments each with a prize of 50,000 dollars, while the season-ending Tour Championship offers a 75,000-dollar prize, the firm said.
