PLATEAU DE BEILLE, France, July 22, 2007 (AFP) - If Tour de France hopeful Alexandre Vinkourov wants to win the yellow jersey, the race`s 15th stage will provide an enticing opportunity.
Vinokourov started the race`s 14th stage, the first of three days in total in the Pyrenees, with a 5:10 deficit on Denmark`s Michael Rasmussen.
With five climbs in total, including two which are graded category one and and even more difficult unclassified climb, the 196km race from Foix to Loudenvielle-le-Louron could stage the biggest drama yet on this year`s race.
